NE-YO COOL WITH FANS PREFERENCES!
R+B singer NE-YO refuses to be hurt when fans prefer his collaborations with Beyonce, Rihanna and Mary J Blige to his solo hits.
The So Sick hitmaker has collaborated with a variety of high profile stars in between juggling his own recording career.
But Ne-Yo is determined to carry on making his own albums and ignore critics' calls to stick solely to songwriting.
He says, "One thing I am hearing a lot lately is 'Ne-Yo is at his best
when writing for other people'. Which is strange. I don't mind it.
"Honestly as long as your head is nodding to the music, I'm cool. It don't matter who's singing it.
"At the end of the day my music, be it a song I put out for myself or a
song I put out with (someone else) - it's still all my vision."

KARDINAL TALKS ABOUT LIL WAYNE, THE CLIPSE AND HIS BABY MOMMA!

Although rumors have
circled that Canadian rapper and Akon's Konvict Music artist, Kardinal
Offishall have been going around that links him with Mos Def's ex-wife,
model/author Alana Wyatt, Kardinal is denying all such talk. The rumors
mainly stated that Wyatt was Kardinal's baby's mom, but he says No baby
mothers, continuing That's one thing I've been really careful about in my
career. And it's not even like a career move, but it’s like to me all that
shit is still precious. I don’t need any grief from wifey thinking I got kids
from random chicks. I don't do that random shit too tough. Not to disrespect
my boy, but it's my man Saukretes' [from Redman's Gilla House crew] baby
moms. It's not me.
Although Lil Wayne
and The Clipse's Pusha-T have been feuding, Kardinal says they didn't mind
being on the same track ("Swag" off his new mixtape). Pusha did his
verse first and Wayne
definitely heard Pusha cause he put his [verse] on after Pusha, T-Dot said,
continuing That joint is never gonna come out officially, by the way. There's
no beef or nothing like that. Wayne
had a respect for me and Pusha had a certain respect for me as well."
Kardinal finished by saying I think at the end of the day, the song was too
ill and they weren't really worried about each other being on the joint. I
sent the joint completed to Pusha and [he] was like, This shit [is] crazy! He
didn't say nothing to me about, No faggot ass Wayne, or this, that, and the next thing.
He was like, Yo, the shit is dope.

FRIDAY WILL BE ONE SICKENING DAY!
Mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs will
receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame for his
contributions to the music and film industries on Friday (02May08). If
they were only giving an award for rapping the most artists and
requiring the most attention I have every seen (well besides Kim
Kardashian) on the planet then all would be good on this planet!

REPO MAN PAYING THE QUEEN BEE A VISIT?!
In a recent report by New York's CW11 News on the rising numbers of car repossessions, Lil Kim received a visit from two repo men with CW11 cameras in tow. The repo men had come to swipe Kim's sliver Bentley claiming that the rapper was four to five months behind in payments. Kim would tell the repo men that her accountant would handle the situation and cursed out reporters asking for a comment. Get the fuck out here, you are so fucking ridiculous! Kim told the reporters,.

MARIAH CAREY REMAINS NUMBER 1 ON THE CHARTS!
Despite
a 61% decline in sales, Mariah Carey's Island Def Jam set "E=MC2"
remains atop The Billboard 200 for a second straight week. The album,
the diva's sixth No. 1, moved 182,000 copies in the U.S., according to
Nielsen SoundScan. British singer Leona Lewis' "Spirit" (Syco/J)
follows suit, staying put at No. 2 in its second week with 96,000 and a
1% sales increase.
Hip-hop
artist Atmosphere easily scores his best sales and chart week ever as
"When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Sh*t Gold" (Rhymesayers)
starts at No. 5 with 36,000. His previous charting high-water mark came
from 2005's "You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having," which peaked
at No. 66. "When Life..." also becomes the highest-charting album for
the Rhymesayers label; the previous best was, again, Atmosphere's stop
at No. 66.
Other debuts this week include rapper Prodigy's "H.N.I.C. Pt. 2" (AAO Music) at No. 36 with 13,000.
Album sales this week are down 8% from last week's sum with 6.87 million units and down 11% from the same week last year.

RZA CRITICIZED FOR BAD BEHAVIOR!
WU
TANG CLAN star RZA's latest performance sparked outrage in Scotland
after he smoked a cigarette on stage and invited female fans to strip.
The notorious rapper deliberately flouted the U.K.'s smoking ban during
a performance in Glasgow by lighting up - and followed his law-breaking
with an invitation for scantily-clad women to join him on stage.
The Brooklyn rapper - real name Robert F Digs - was playing at the
Arches club on Saturday (26Apr08) when a group of women joined him on
stage and removed their tops, exposing their breasts.
A spokesman for the venue confirmed the women took their tops off,
which was deemed "unacceptable by management". The offending females
"were then subsequently asked to leave the club".

USHER BELIEVES CHRIS BROWN IS HIS REPLACEMENT!
Usher has hailed fellow singer Chris Brown as a younger version of
himself - insisting the star will follow the same path. Usher, 29,
was just 15 when he released his self-titled debut album in 1994 and
has gone on to forge a highly successful music career. And Usher is
convinced Brown, 19, is all set to follow in his footsteps and dominate
the R&B scene. He
says, All of this young energy is great for the industry. Chris is the
guy who dances and sings, which is a lot like I do and did as a young
artist as well. If time serves us correctly, and artists are continuing
to better themselves, then hopefully hell follow the same path that I
did.
