EMINEM'S NEW BOOK 'THE WAY I AM': EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW

Eminem's New Book 'The Way I Am': Exclusive Preview

I've always had issues with my temper.
When I look back at myself during those years when everything was
blowing up, I think maybe at first I was a little, you know, too
aggressive and loud. It was like I had this voice and I had to be
heard. ''Don't f--- with me,'' to the point where people must have been
wondering, Why is this dude so angry? Is he on crack? Is he on crystal
meth? I go back and see old interviews and even now I wonder, Why was I
so hyper?
I went through a phase back then when I was shooting pistols in the air
behind the studio and, you know, pulling guns out, pointing a pistol in
somebody's face, not even realizing that I could've gone to jail for
that s---.
Back then I was living on a main road, Hayes Street, and random people
used to come and knock on my door all the time. The first album had
gone four times platinum. I finally had some money. I remember
thinking, I have a house, I can park in back. It was the first time in
my life I'd had a real home that I could call my own and nobody was
going to be able to throw me out. Directly across the street there was
a trailer park. Wouldn't you know it? Sometimes kids would sit and wait
for me to come out.
Other times they didn't even bother to wait. They would just come and
bang on the door. The doorbell kept ringing. I was starting to lose it.
As soon as I would open the front door the camera flashes would go off.
They'd start clapping. I was losing my mind. ...

Cypress Hill Hit With $29 MILLION Suit Over `'Black Sunday,' Sample!!!!!!!

West Coast rap group Cypress Hill are being sued for $29 million
due to a sampling conflict stemming from their triple platinum, 1993
album, Black Sunday.
According to reports, legendary blues singer Syl Johnson filed a
lawsuit against the hip-hop band claiming the music from his 1969
record "Is It Because I'm Black" were used without permission on Hill's
"Lock Down (Interlude)." Despite Hill's track being over 15 years-old
and not using the actual lyrics from the song, Johnson has decided to
sue the group plus a number of record and publishing companies for the
brief soundbite.
Cypress Hill, who were recently honored at VH1's 5th annual Hip-Hop
Honors event, were not available for comment as of press time.
Johnson, who is the father of R&B singer Syleena Johnson, has a
history of suing other musicians for allegedly using unauthorized
samples of his music. Back in January, TMZ broke the news that he sued
a long list of artists including Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Tupac
Shakur and KRS-One claiming they stole his 1967 single "Different
Strokes" without attributing him or paying for the sample.

Latest News Kanye upcoming album "808’s and Heartbreak"
Details about Kanye’s new album “808’s and Heartbreak” have now been
unveiled. Kanye selected a few journalists and guests to attend a
listening session, including getting Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft to
set the stage for the guests. “After waiting in a loading area with an
open bar and a DJ, we walked up a driveway illuminated by florescent
lights to a darkened room where approximately forty nude women, most of
them wearing face-obscuring masks seemingly made of faux lamb’s wool,
stood in the middle — black girls in the front, white girls in the
back,” a Fader journalist wrote. “Mos Def sat down front-and-center,
Michael Rapaport talked excitedly to the security guards, Will.i.am
watched from one end of the U the audience formed around the women,
Rick Ross watched from the other end.” Fader says there are only a few
guests on Kanye’s album, incluing the only rap verses coming from Young
Jeezy on “Amazing” and a duet with Lil Wayne. More importantly Fader
says what the album “West delivered a monologue about how this album is
about the freedom to do what you want to do and that he used Auto-Tune
because it is the most fun thing ever.” Kanye said “If I wanna rap,
I’ll rap,” he said. “If I wanna sing, I’ll sing. I told Jay, L.A Reid
and everyone at my label that I needed to put this out right now, I’ll
have another album in June, but this has to come out right now. The way
these songs connect with you, God uses me as a vessel- he puts me
through pain so that I can go through it, and create…” The album was
put together in three weeks in the area code of 808 (hence the ...
